This project focuses on protecting private grasslands from conversion to cultivated cropland. The project activities are located in North Dakota Prairie Pothole Region, an area that provides a key habitat for a diverse range of flora and fauna. To prevent conversion and retain carbon pools, the project contacted landowners in the Pothole Region with the aim of introducing them to the carbon program.
